Katie Ann Campbell

God sent Katie to be my companion on February 24, 2018.  Katie was a blessing to me and will always hold a special place in my heart.  From day one I knew she would be loved and spoiled.  While I worked during the day she attended daycare where she tolerated the other dogs.  She and I attended puppy training and received our certificate of completion.  She and I moved to our little cabin in Smyth county VA when I retired in July of 2019.

I accused Katie of being the reincarnation of my mother since some of her funny quirks reminded me of her.  Nothing could be left out of place.  She was always stealing socks, shoes and any clothing left unattended.  She would even sneak washcloths and underwear from the clothes basket. She never chewed them, she would just take them, usually to her bed.

She was always there to anxiously meet the FEDEX person with the delivery which was usually her food, but even if it wasn't her food, she was excited and wanted to see what was in the box.  She wouldn't go down the steps and wouldn't go past the shelfI would sit in front of the door if I wanted her to stay in the bedroom while I was away.

Katie always wanted to know what I was cooking and would stand beside me watching.  She always had her little teaspoon of vanilla ice cream in her separate bowl and then would carry her bowl around.

Katie was my watch dog and doorbell and let me know if anything or anyone was around the house that wasn't supposed to be.  It's amazing how much more they hear than we do.

Thank you to Nathan at Faithful Pets for your caring, patient and professional service.  At a most difficult time, it was a pleasure to work with you.
