PERSONAL CREMATION OPTIONS
Individual pet cremation (Private or Partitioned) is
performed using the same human industry standards with a guaranteed
return of your pet’s remains. A stainless steel and numbered cremation
disc is used during the cremation process for identification. A temporary urn
will be provided for your pet’s remains at no additional charge. The temporary
urn is a white cardboard box with the same plastic inner liner secured by a
wire tie (holding the numbered cremation disc) that would be placed in a
permanent urn if one is chosen. Communal cremation offers an affordable
alternative for those who do not wish to receive their pet’s remains back. Prices
for cremation are based upon the pets’ weight and range from $45 to $350. (This
cost is for cremation only and is based upon the weight of the pet and the
service chosen. Other fees may apply for merchandise, removal service, mileage or
shipping.)
For those Pet Families who wish to receive their
pet’s remains after the cremation, there are two options available to choose
from:

1.
Private cremation – In choosing
this option, the pet is placed by itself in the crematory.
This process allows for the removal of each pet’s recoverable, cremated remains
and involves no commingling of other animals.
With this selection, the cremation will be completed in 3 to 5 business days (excluding
weekends and holidays) from the date the pet is received at Faithful Pets.

2.
PARTITIONED cremation - First, the pet is identified using a numbered, stainless
steel cremation disc that is placed with the pet during the cremation. Next, the pet is placed in a separate chamber area within
the crematory along with the Identification Disc. This process allows Faithful Pets to cremate more than one pet at the same time yet,
maintain the individuality of each animal by using a separate chamber area for
each animal. It also allows for the
removal of each pet’s recoverable, cremated remains separately and involves no
commingling of the animals. Since we are
able to cremate more than one pet during the cremation cycle, the cost for this
service is less than that of a private cremation. With this option, the
cremation will be completed in 6 to 10
business days (excluding weekends and holidays) from the date the pet is
received at Faithful Pets.

Options for receiving your pet’s remains include scheduling an
appointment at Faithful Pets; return to your veterinarian’s office; or mailing. If the
pet family chooses to have the pet’s remains returned to the Veterinarian’s
office after the cremation:
- Faithful
Pets Staff will deliver the pet’s remains at no additional cost on the next
visit to the vet office or immediate area.
- There is NO GUARANTEE that delivery of the remains
will occur within the 5 day timeframe for Private Cremation nor within the 10
day timeframe for Partitioned Cremation. (These timeframes are for completion
of the cremation ONLY.)
- An extended time
period may be required for delivery of the pet’s remains if the vet office is
not in an area frequently visited by Faithful Pets Staff. (HOWEVER, after
completion of the cremation, the pet’s remains will be available for pick-up by
appointment at Faithful Pets or the client can call and request to receive the remains by mail for a
$15 pre-paid fee.)
If the Pet Family wishes to pick up the remains at
Faithful Pets, a representative of Faithful Pets will contact you when the
cremation is completed to schedule an appointment time. At this time, if
you would like to choose a permanent urn, marker or other memorial item for
your pet, our staff can assist you.

For those Pet Families who DO NOT wish to receive
their pet’s remains after the cremation:
COMMUNAL CREMATION OPTION
A communal cremation offers a dignified and
economical alternative for those pet owners who do not wish to permanently keep or inter their pet’s remains. By
selecting this service option, Faithful
Pets will transport the pet from many area veterinarian offices to our
facility. There, the pet will be cremated en masse along with other pets whose
owners have also chosen this option. Following the cremation process, all of the
remains are scattered in a special section located near the Faithful Pet
facilities and the Pet Family will not
receive any remains back.

GROUND BURIAL OPTION
Faithful Pets also has a special ground burial
section dedicated to the interment of pets within the beautiful grounds of
Forest Hills Memory Gardens.
This pet cemetery offers the same perpetual care
services (mowing, landscaping, etc.) that is available at human
cemeteries. Professionals conduct and supervise the interment of your
faithful pet.
Our package service includes:
- Burial plot
- Weekday opening/closing fee
- Outer burial container for pet
- A permanent memorial
- Removal service from many veterinarian offices

HOME BURIAL SERVICES
AVAILABLE ONLY IN WASHINGTON COUNTY,
VA
- Faithful Pets Cremation & Burial Care offers caskets, outer burial
containers, and markers suitable for home burial.
- We can also provide you with any personal assistance you may require for
your pet’s home burial.
- Please check your local town or county ordinances to determine if home
burial is permitted in your area.
